Forced time off

Well, I've been forced to take some time off the bike for reasons out of my control. I could elaborate, but it's a bit embarrassing and kinda gross. Let's just say that 200 plus miles on the bike last Saturday (DK200) was a bit hard on my body, specifically my backside. I may need to go under the knife to get the problem corrected. Not fun.

So now I'm very frustrated because I can't ride during the middle of the year. It's been a beautiful week and I haven't been able to get out and enjoy it on a bike. My last time on a bike was at Dirty Kanza. I tried to throw a leg over a bike the other day and nearly hurt myself trying to get off because the pain was too much. The Bike Gods have frowned upon me!

This is the second time this year I've been forced to take some time off due to a medical reason. Most folks that I talk to say I could probably use the recovery, but screw that! I wanna go out for a gravel century Saturday and Sunday!

Maybe I could just stand the whole entire time....

That's just wrong. If you have to endure the rotten weather during the winter you should also be rewarded with some awesome riding weather in the summer. The bike Gods are frowning upon you my brother.

Ouch, that really is tough to hear - especially after the amazing finish to Kanza. Rest, heal up, and here's hoping it won't require being under the knife! The bike will be there when you get back, but man don't I know how it stinks to miss it.

Take care amigo, and thanks for all the inspiration and good words.

Recumbent would be a nice option for you right now...and remember that this wouldn't happen if you were using a brooks.

I've got a needle, a lighter and a high tolerance for gross. Let's operate! I will also take out your spare rib for $100.

keep it high & dry bro...

I have no idea what that means, it just sounds funny.

heal up, there's a lot of adventures to be had out there...

Take care of the pesky situation. The more it is neglected the more time you will suffer off the bike. Been there, done it.
After you have it taken care of spend money on good shorts. Bag Balm and Vaseline are better then even the Assos Cream. The Butt butter stuff dries up too fast. A speedy recovery to you and a well job done at the Dirty-K.

dude, lets see some pics of that thing, common.

I'm all for popping it on video

how big is it? bigger than a quarter?
1/2 dollar?

is it red? or like black and purple blueish?

you get yourself one of those hemroid pillows so you can sit and game?

Butch is right, you gotta hook yourself up with a recumbant right now. say what you want about them being all gay and what not, but they are not. look, Big Dennis Grelk rolls one all the time, and he's way cool.

I do hate to tell you it, though, but if you'd wash your ass a little more this wouldn't happen.

dude, trust me though it could be worse.

I pulled a tick out of the shaft of my dick the other day, looks like a bee stung it. fucking ticks.

or yet even worse, remember when our buddy hutch pierced his wang, and it got infected... man, I wish I had that picture, just made ya wana throw up....

all kidding aside,
heal up buddy.
the down time will be great for you
and it won't take to long, after a night of some ruff dirty sex, it's bound to pop due to some finger nail action or towel snapping action and then wham. your back in the saddle.

peace.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Hopefully this bad daddy will go away soon and I'll be able to get back on the bike.

Dude! I can empathize with you on this one. I have been there and it is no fun. But you will be in tip top shape in about 4 days. take care and get well.
